A LOCAL TRASH COMPANY:
About The Friendliest Little Garbage Company Around – Adams Sanitation!

A Bridge over the Shoal River in Okaloosa County

Your Northwest Florida Trash Company

Northwest Florida is a beautiful, largely rural, place to live today. It was even more sparsely populated in the 1980s when Mike and Martha Adams decided to start a friendly little garbage company. As you might have guessed, they named the company Adams Sanitation, (sometimes also referred to as Adam Sanitation or Adam’s Sanitation 🤷🏼‍♀️) – and a new waste hauling company was born!

The Adams Sanitation trash pickup team started with a handful of friends and family in Holt, Florida as customers. The company grew slowly and provided service to Baker Florida, Milligan and other places in the rural parts of Okaloosa County.

After Mike Adams passed away in 1994, Martha managed the local trash business by herself. She remarried in 2000 and ran the business with her husband, Sonny Booth. The pair operated the company until 2018 when they sold the business to Northwest Florida entrepreneurs Crystal and Nathan Boyles. Martha passed away in 2021.

Since buying Adams Sanitation, the Boyles have focused on upgrading and expanding the company to meet the needs of the residential North Okaloosa and Santa Rosa County trash disposal customers. Investments in new, fuel-efficient and state-of-the-art trash trucks have enhanced the premium waste hauling service customers expect from Adams Sanitation. Even little things – like ensuring you get a trash cart quickly through our RapidCart delivery program – show we aim to go far above and beyond our competition to deliver you superior value.

Adams Sanitation Prides itself on its commitment to creating a customized trash product to meet each and every one of our customers’ unique needs. This means rolling out once-weekly service, like we did in December of 2022, unveiling simple but effective bear latches or giving customers the option for biweekly recycling. It’s our goal to make sure that customers exact needs are met – and they get a fair price to do it.

The waste industry continues to evolve rapidly – and requires heavy investment in technology people, and new ideas. The team at Adams Sanitation commits to consistent and constant improvement to ensure customers get the best value for trash pickup services.

If you are an Adams Sanitation customer, we thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you!

If you are interested in either or once or our twice-weekly service – as well as our recycling, commercial, bulk and yard waste pickup services, we’d be honored to earn your business!

Who Owns Adams Sanitation?

Crystal Boyles • Adams Sanitation Owner

Crystal Boyles is a wife, mom, entrepreneur and trash company owner. A Baker School graduate and volleyball player (go Gators!), Crystal has her associate’s degree from Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC), her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of West Florida and earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License. She loves to cook gourmet food and read when she isn’t running the business or homeschooling the Boyles’ two children.

A North Okaloosa County native, Crystal is one of the few women in America who own a trash hauling company. In fact, Adams Sanitation employs forty times more women than the average waste hauler.

“We are a community company that happens to pick up trash,” she says, “that is the difference between us and the competition.”

Who Runs Adams Sanitation?

The Adams Sanitation Leadership Team

Nathan Boyles • Chief Trash Officer

Nathan Boyles is a husband, dad and jack of all trades at Adams Sanitation. He currently serves as Adams Sanitation’s Chief Trash Officer. He is also a graduate of Baker School in Baker, Florida, where he was on the Baker Gators football team. After high school, Nathan graduated from NWFSC and Florida State University with a degree in environmental engineering. With his entrepreneurial streak and engineering background – Nathan decided to go to law school! After three years of hitting the books, Nathan Boyles graduated from Florida State University Law School and passed the Florida Bar.

He opened his own law practice in 2008 in Crestview, Florida on Main Street. Once established in the Hub City, he worked as a lawyer for several years before the entrepreneurial bug bit again. The husband-wife team opened Main Street Title Company in Crestview. When the pair bought Adams Sanitation in 2018, they sold the title company.

Nathan leads the charge in the various legal avenues in which Adams Sanitation has to compete with other companies and local government bureaucracy.

The Adams Sanitation team continues to succeed on behalf of the Citizens of Santa Rosa County. In 2020, The Santa Rosa County Commission voted to give people a choice in trash providers. The vote took place after Nathan and the legal team discovered that the county’s exploitative franchise wasn’t valid. Thanks to Nathan, the free market prevailed in Pace and Milton. More than 30,000 families now benefit from a choice when it comes to trash hauling in Santa Rosa County.
