Adams Sanitation Emergency Page
April 17th 2023:
We use the Adams Sanitation Emergency when a place or places in our service area are in an emergency to communicate essential information about schedules, pickups, service resumption, and more.
During an emergency – specifically a hurricane – expect the following to happen:
- We will not pick up bulk trash or trash next to the cart for now. This will help us ensure we can pick up trash from everyone in the affected area.
- We will cease operations at least several hours before tropical-storm-force winds enter our area. This policy allows us to keep our roads safe for emergency vehicles, ensures our people get home in plenty of time to batten down the hatches, and helps us secure our trucks into a safe place so we can start up our services as quickly as possible after the storm.
- As always, our trucks will not accept construction or demolition debris. This policy is especially true after a natural disaster. Our mission is to pick up household trash for everyone, so we will need to refuse these other materials.
- When possible, we will communicate our plan to all of our customers in the days before an emergency. Stay tuned to our social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, and Youtube) for the latest updates.
Thank you so much for your business!
-The Team at Adams Sanitation.
