What are we charging for Trash Service in South Santa Rosa County?

The short answer – $29.50

Wait – that’s higher than in the North County! Why???

Well – three reasons.

🛣️ It’s a much longer trip to the landfill from Navarre and Gulf Breeze. This means that we are using more gas (and crossing the bridge) to get your trash over to the dump.

🦠COVID has changed the entire economy, and made things MUCH more expensive for businesses, including ours. We have significantly higher costs (trucks we bought just a couple of months ago are now more than $40,000 more expensive to purchase!) This extra couple of dollars allows us to a purchase our trucks.

🏛️Finally, the folks at Santa Rosa County ask for an annual dump usage fee increase in January. Instead of jacking up the rate in January, we wanted to be upfront about the costs of using our service. This keeps us honest with you and avoids surprise increases.

♻️Recycling in the South County (which is optional!) will be $7.50 per month.

🐻 We know there are many issues with bears getting into the trash – especially in Santa Rosa County. Bear-resistant carts are also available for customers who are interested! We charge $2 per month in order to maintain the cart.
