Santa Rosa County's Official Report on Their Investigation into Waste Pro

Well – the report about alleged shady dealings between waste pro and Santa Rosa County just came out – and it’s talking about… chocolate parties.

We’re not kidding, on page twelve the head honcho over at Waste Pro for Santa Rosa County brags to someone about how he hangs out with elected officials at ‘chocolate parties.’

Weird, right?

It’s also got ‘boatloads’ of other concerning stuff to us… more on that later.

We’re not sure what that means, but we are a little skeeved out… and curious.

We’re guessing most of y’all don’t have the time (or would ever subject yourselves) to a 60-ish page government report on issues in trash franchises – and before we got into the trash business, we wouldn’t have either.

But, here we are – knee deep in independent farm-raised, organic, fair trade, 95% cacao weirdness wondering what in the world is going on (and if this is the reason it’s taking Santa Rosa County so long to approve our permit to haul waste in Navarre and Gulf Breeze).

As you can probably imagine, we’re still processing all of the legalese and jargon in the report, but will begin to give you our take on what in the world is going on at the solid waste division at Santa Rosa County over the next couple of days.

If you want to read the full report, it’s below. It reads like a chemistry textbook, but it’s there.

Anyone else weirdly craving s’mores now?
